The Lions placed linebacker Jarrad Davis on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.

He's the first player Detroit has on that list since August.

The team announced a statement, saying NFL and NFLPA policy restricts the team from commenting on a player’s medical status, outside of referring to roster status, and whether the player is in quarantine or tested positive for COVID-19.

Davis is a former first round pick who played only 14 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Colts.

We don't know what his status will be for Sunday's game in Minnesota.

He was picked out of Florida in 2017, viewed as a cornerstone of the defense. He has seen his role severely altered in the last few weeks after starting the first two games of the year.
