Michigan wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones landed with Browns in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.
The Detroit Cass Tech graduate is the 187th pick of the draft. In a deep wideout class, Peoples-Jones was the 27th receiver taken.
At Michigan, he grabbed All-Big Ten honors twice. He is 6-foot-2, 212-pounds and ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.
"God’s Timing.. it will all make sense in the end.. Believe that.!" he tweeted Friday night.
Peoples-Jones left Ann Arbor a year early. In three seasons, he played 37 games collecting 103 catches for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. His best season came in 2018, when he led Michigan in receiving as a sophomore with 47 catches for 612 yards and 14 TD.
"I think all his good football is ahead of him," ESPN's Louis Riddick said on Saturday. "The quarterback play didn't help him."
