DETROIT (WXYZ) -- The Detroit Tigers retired the number of Hall of Fame shortstop Alan Trammell during a pregame ceremony Sunday at Comerica Park.

Like his fellow 2018 Hall of Fame inductee Jack Morris, Trammell received a framed jersey, a seat from old Tiger Stadium, and a statue of his number 3 made from crystal.

"What a ride it's been, so many special memories" said Trammell during his speech. "My hope is that when fans come to Comerica Park and see number 3 out there on the brick wall, the story that will be told is of someone who played the game the right way, was consistent, and accountable. It was my pleasure to have worn the Old English D my entire playing career."
