The Lions have found their new offensive coordinator, deciding to promote from within the organization.

Tight ends coach Ben Johnson is getting the job, NFL Network and the Detroit Free Press report.

He has been with the Lions for the last three seasons, including the past two as tight ends coach. Johnson will replace Anthony Lynn, who was fired after losing play-calling responsibilities during the season.

It's not clear if head coach Dan Campbell or Johnson will call plays in 2022.
