VOTE for Lansing Ignite FC Player of the Month

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Ignite FC has revealed the four nominees for the LIFC Player of the Month award for March/April, and the community will decide the winner. Grant Stoneman, Xavier Gomez, Tumi Moshobane and Nick Moon are on the ballot after strong performances throughout the team's first month of action.

Voting for the LIFC Player of the Month award will run through Sunday, May 5, at 11:59 p.m. ET, with voting permitted once per day. The winner and voting results will be announced on Monday, May 6.

2019 LIFC PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES – MARCH/APRIL

Grant Stoneman, Defender – Stoneman has appeared in every match for Lansing this campaign, scoring one goal. He's been a rock in defense, leading the team in interceptions (8), while also recording 15 clearances, four blocks and five tackles. He's been named to the USL League One Team of the Week twice (Week 1 and Week 3) and was named USL League One Player of the Week once (Week 3).

Xavier Gomez, Midfielder – Gomez has appeared in all six games for Lansing, recording one goal and one assist. He has completed 85 percent of his passes, has created eight scoring chances and has been named to the USL League One Team of the Week once (Week 1).

Tumi Moshobane, Midfielder – Moshobane has played in five matches for Lansing this campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He has been lethal in attack, recording four scoring chances and a team-high four shots on target. He also netted the first goal in club history against the Richmond Kickers on March 30.

Nick Moon, Midfielder – Moon has played in all six games for Lansing, recording one goal. He has created three scoring opportunities and has also helped out on the defensive end, recording six tackles, five interceptions, three clearances and one block. He has earned USL League One Team of the Week honors (Week 3) once this season.

LIFC GOAL OF THE MONTH – MARCH/APRIL


Tumi Moshobane, at Richmond Kickers: Moshobane scored the first goal in club history, and it was a good one. The dynamic attacker received a great pass from Selso Saint-Duc before blasting the ball low into the back of the net.

Selso Saint-Duc, vs. Michigan State: Saint-Duc scored the goal with his left foot after brilliant build-up play. Elma N'For flashed some skill in his pass to Nathan Lewis, who found Pato Botello-Faz in the middle. Botello-Faz then played a quality through ball into the path of Saint-Duc, who finished the chance.

Nick Moon, vs. Richmond Kickers: Moon scored the first goal ever at Cooley Law School Stadium, and it was a thunderbolt. The quick midfielder gathered the ball on the left wing and dribbled towards the top of the box before unleashing a magnificent strike on goal.

Grant Stoneman, vs. Richmond Kickers: Stoneman's sensational strike was perfectly placed after collecting the ball in the box following a corner kick by Tumi Moshobane.

LIFC SAVE OF THE MONTH – MARCH/APRIL


Kyle Ihn, vs. Michigan State: Ihn made a brilliant last-second stop, tipping the ball up and out of play with his left hand.

Mike Kirk, at Greenville Triumph SC: Kirk made an incredible kick save to deny Greenville a goal from close range.

Kyle Ihn, at FC Tucson: Ihn quickly came off his line to deny FC Tucson a goal from a counter-attacking chance.
