EAST LANSING, Mich. — Samuel Stanley Jr. will meet later Thursday with sexual abuse survivors.

This is the first of three meetings between the president and sexual assault victims.

Nassar survivors and other Michigan state sexual assault victims are encouraged to meet with President Stanley to share their concerns and ideas for improvement on campus.

Along with Michigan State's president, sexual assault counselors and a mediator will be involved.

This series of meetings was something President Samuel Stanley Jr. said he wanted to have for a long time, but some survivors are a little skeptical.

One survivor says she's worried this is "Just another PR stunt."

Thursday, victims will meet in the new Admissions Room of the MSU Union.

They're encouraged to bring a parent or support person with them.

Stanley has scheduled a couple of other meetings with survivors who some have said might be too public.

The next one will be October 10 in the East Lansing Public Library.

It will will focus specifically on the Larry Nassar case.

Then, October 16 there will be an online meeting for survivors who don't feel comfortable going to a meeting in person.

It's happening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
