EAST LANSING, Mich. — He hung out with Michigan State University men's basketball Tom Izzo on the sidelines of the Spartan football game against Western Michigan University at Spartan Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 7.
By Tuesday, Sept. 10., Mady Sissoko announced he was coming to East Lansing in 2020.
The 6-foot-10, 215-pound power forward/center picked Michigan State over Kansas, Memphis, and BYU.
The four-star Sissoko, with a 7'4" wingspan, is preparing to enter his senior season at Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah.
The Mali, West Africa native is ranked No. 36 in the 247sports.com composite rankings while he's rated No. 40 in the nation by Rivals.com
Sissoko averaged 12.5 points and 8.9 rebounds during his junior season at Wasatch Academy.
