LANSING, Mich. — Scattered showers and storms continue this afternoon, with breezy winds. Conditions try up briefly this evening, before additional showers overnight. Saturday and Sunday also have the chance to bring additional rain and storms to the region. West Michigan falls under a marginal risk for severe weather through the weekend. While the majority of showers and storms have a low risk of becoming severe, a few isolated strong storms can't be ruled out. The main threats include heavy rain, strong winds, and small hail. Confidence is increasing that 2 to 5+ inches of additional rain may fall through the course of the weekend. Our wet pattern looks to hold on into at least the middle of next week.
