LANSING, Mich. — A light area of snow, freezing rain and rain pushed through overnight, leading to some slick spots out on the roads this morning. Those will not be an issue by the afternoon and temperatures will trend well into the 40s! This will be aided by some sunshine and winds out of the southwest. Sunday will be even warmer in the upper 40s to lower 50s. However, we will have to dodge a few raindrops with very limited sunshine. All in all, a very spring-like weekend to wrap up the month of February. Winter will make a quick return Monday with plummeting temps into the lower/middle 30s and wind chills in the teens and 20s. There will also be some snow showers within the cold air.

SATURDAY: Drying out quickly with partly cloudy/sunny skies. Slick spots likely this morning after the overnight rain/freezing rain/snow. Those will be gone by the afternoon. Highs in the middle 40s. Winds west/southwest at 5 to 15 mph.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy and mild with a stray sprinkle/shower possible. Highs in the upper 40s near 50 degrees. Becoming breezy too. West/southwest wind at 10 to 20 mph. Gusts 25 to 35 mph.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy/sunny and windy. A few snow showers likely. Colder with highs in the middle 30s. Wind west/northwest at 15 to 25 mph. Gusts as high as 40 mph.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and a bit warmer. Highs in the lower 40s.

REST OF THE WEEK: Dry with some sunshine! Highs in the middle to upper 40s.
