Today's Forecast: Morning temperatures below zero with partly to mostly cloudy skies later on

LANSING, Mich. — Temperatures this morning will be the coldest they have been all season. Wind chills could be as cold as -15° this morning. This will be the worst of the cold stretch, as things will only get better from here. Temperatures over the next few days will climb through the 20s, getting towards the freezing mark and warmer by Sunday. Snow chances will remain minimal for the rest of the week, with only some flurries possible Thursday and light lake-effect on Friday. A new system could bring snow by the back half of the weekend on Sunday.

TODAY: A bitter cold start to the day with our coldest air of the season starting off with temperatures below zero. Partly cloudy to partly sunny early. Becoming mostly cloudy by the evening. Overnight flurries possible. Highs in the lower 20s. Winds southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows in the single digits. Eat winds around 5 mph.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Flurries possible away from Lake Michigan. Highs in the mid 20s.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with the chance of snow showers. Highs in the mid 20s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy to partly sunny. Highs in the mid 20s.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy with the chance of light snow. Highs in the lower 30s.
