Tonight's Forecast: Flurries end, skies clear & things get very cold

LANSING, Mich. — Some of mid Michigan is waking up to light accumulations of a coating to an inch or so possible inland by early Tuesday afternoon. A new batch of flurries or light snow can graze across sections I-96 and southward on Wednesday but only minor accumulations, if any, are anticipated. A couple more shots for snow showers return overnight Thursday into Friday morning and perhaps again at some point later Saturday into Sunday. Arctic air stays in place as well keeping temperatures mostly in the teens with wind chills in the single digits at times. Bundle up!

TODAY: Cloudy with snow showers, mainly during the morning. Highs in the upper teens. North to northwest winds at 5-15 mph.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Lows in the middle single digits. Northwest to north winds around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible especially southward. Highs in the upper teens.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny. Snow showers developing in the afternoon and evening. Highs near 20 degrees.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. Snow showers continue at least through the first half of the day. Highs near 20 degrees.
