LANSING, Mich. — What do you want to do after you graduate? It’s a common question asked of high school students everywhere. College? Military? Skilled Trades? Parents’ Basement? The options seem endless, and the decision can be difficult. But, there is help available to make sure students get the right start after high school (and avoid the “Parents’ Basement” option, which no one really wants).
Career Con is a free event hosted by Lenawee Now for parents and students who are interested in finding the right career path for a successful future. The event will feature career expert Chris Czarnik who has toured the U.S. and Canada, sharing his unique blend of in-your-face humor and truth about the new world of work and what the new decade has in store for career and job seekers.
Attendees will also receive a free step-by-step guide to help students discover their ideal career path. And, they will have the opportunity to talk with Lenawee County employers about on-the-job training, apprenticeships, tuition reimbursements, and job opportunities available before and after graduation.
11th and 12th grade students and their parents are encouraged to attend this event on March 24, 2020 at the Adrian High School Performing Arts Center from 6:30-8:00 pm.
