LANSING, Mich. — Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) is holding their Halloween-themed Walk for the Animals on Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge.
The event will feature the following fun activities: a one-mile walk through the park, police dog demos, a doggy obstacle course, vendors, doggy costume contest, trick or treating, pumpkin painting, Classic K9 trick dogs and dancing dogs, donuts and cider, and a doggy ice cream eating contest.
Register online at www.AdoptLansing.org and personalize a fundraising page to have friends and family sponsor you. Registration is $25 per person (waived for children 12 and younger) and includes entry to the event, lunch, and an event t-shirt. There are different prizes available based on the amount of funding raised.
Every dollar raised for the Walk for the Animals aids in the care and start of a beautiful life for the most vulnerable animals right here in our community. With activities for dogs and their people, they will celebrate your fundraising with a lot of fun on October 5.
The Capital Area Humane Society calls on the community to help raise funds and awareness for the homeless animals in need in Mid-Michigan. Their goal is to raise $85,000 (or more!) this year, and they need your help. Register today!
