JACKSON, Mich. — James J. Keeley Park (Jackson County Fairgrounds) is currently undergoing a renaissance with the development of the new American 1 Credit Union Events Center, the future renovation of the existing American 1 building, and the complete redesign of the 45-acre grounds. The master plan includes development of a public park, river access improvements, and a boardwalk/trail connector along the Grand River from Ganson Street to North Street and continuing north to Parnell Road where it will connect with the existing trail systems.

Keeley County Park is home to The Jackson County Fair, which is one of the largest county fairs in the state of Michigan. With plenty of family-friendly entertainment, large grandstand acts, food and animals showcased, the fair attracts 200,000 visitors over the course of one week. Fair dates: 2019: Aug 4-10; 2020: Aug 2-8; 2021: Aug 1-7.
