Williamston Pop Up Art & Craft Show

The holiday Pop Up is coming! A great opportunity to work on checking items off that Christmas list. A wide range of artisans practicing many mediums will be on hand for a unique selection of gift ideas. Holiday treats and hot beverages will be available. And don't forget, Keller's Post Office has a direct link to the North Pole, so mail your letters to Santa here! 11am – 6pm.

Need a way to warm-up and have some family fun? Come and join us on Saturday, December 14th from 11 am-2 pm as we gather around the fire in the Moon Cabin and enjoy hot chocolate and historic demonstrations. Then head over to the Visitor Center and create your own ornament or barn wood holiday decor to take home. There will be a requested donation of $5/individual, $10/couple, $15/family. There is a 20% discount for members of the organization.

American Girl Tea Party: Elf on the Shelf
December 14 - 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Join the amazing fun with you and your doll dressed in your Holiday best. We will celebrate the spirit of the season North Pole style. Enjoy the twinkling lights and beautiful tree, as we create some tiny holiday elf art. Dance with peppermint sticks and play some jolly games. Enjoy some of Santa’s cookies and peppermint stick tea.

We have two special projects planned for this party! We are creating a Sparkly Christmas Tree and a Holiday Village House for your Doll or Elf! We can’t wait to share this special evening with you! See our projects and more details here

American Girl Workshops:
Where girls can laugh, dream and create with friends and their favorite doll. Join us on these Saturdays from 2:00 – 4:00 PM for arts, crafts, fun and of course a special tea party for girls and their dolls. Pre-registration is required one week ahead. $20 per child includes all art supplies, a magical afternoon, and a tea party for you and your favorite doll!

This Holiday season, join us for a nostalgic journey back in time to the Christmas of yesteryear when you climb aboard the North Pole Express, pulled by the world-famous Pere Marquette 1225!

Depart from the Steam Railroading Institute in Downtown Owosso for a four-hour, round trip excursion to the Village of Ashley Country Christmas. Enjoy a one-hour train ride each way to and from Ashley, choosing one of our five different classes of service. From vintage coaches to historic cabooses, each offers a different type of comfortable accommodation and Christmas ambiance as the North Pole Express races northward!

Upon arrival at the Village of Ashley’s Country Christmas, passengers will disembark for a two-hour Christmas party straight out of the past! Participate in the numerous activities the village has to offer; live entertainment, arts and crafts, and having your picture taken in front of the massive Pere Marquette 1225. Of course, the highlight will be meeting Santa Claus himself!

The North Pole Express will operate on Saturdays and Sundays starting on November 16th and concluding on December 21st (Each trip is an approximately four-hour experience).

The Nutcracker Presented By The Jackson Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Chelsea

Ballet Chelsea’s annual production of The Nutcracker is a full-length, narrated ballet, choreographed by Ballet Chelsea’s Artistic Director Wendi DuBois and features the talents of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and Musical Director, Matthew Aubin. Audiences young and old from all over southern Michigan return year after year for this family-friendly holiday favorite. Based on the book “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E.T.A. Hoffman and set to music by Tchaikovsky, The Nutcracker tells a magical story of a Christmas Eve long ago. Join Ballet Chelsea on a magical journey from Christmas Eve festivities at the Stahlbaum's house, complete with godfather Drosselmeier and his charming mechanical dolls, to a fierce midnight battle, and on to the enchanted Kingdom of Sweets. This narrated production combines the beauty of ballet, the excitement of live music and the joy of a classic holiday story with nearly 70 dancers from across Southern Michigan captivating audiences with their energy and artistry.
