After their involvement in the death of a royal forester, Robin Hood, his best friend Will and Marian find themselves on the hit list of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. The sheriff’s men raid a pub in Lincolnshire and kidnap the beautiful Ellen Dierwald. The survivors of the raid soon become the Merry Men. Together they set out to steal taxes from right under the sheriff’s nose and distribute the treasure to the poor. King John hatches a plot to kill Robin Hood, and Ellen finds herself forced into an engagement to the evil sheriff. Will Robin and his Merry Men be able to stop King John’s plot and the sheriff’s engagement in time?

FREE family-friendly event celebrating Charles Darwin’s birthday and showcasing the treasures of the natural world. Learn about fossils, insects, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, plants, human ancestors, evolution, rocks, minerals and more!Discovering Darwin and Celebrating Science

The Michigan State University Museum presents its 16th annual Darwin Discovery Day on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., an afternoon of science, exploration and discovery!

MSU scientists and students take part in Darwin Discovery Day to share their expertise and love of science with the public. Activities, tours and university science collections are featured throughout the MSU Museum.

Ask the experts: as a favorite tradition of the day, visitors are encouraged to bring in a rock, bone, fossil, tooth or other natural object for museum curators and faculty members to identify.

Science institutions worldwide have created special programs around Darwin’s birthday each year that help promote an appreciation for the benefits of scientific knowledge acquired through human curiosity and ingenuity.

Family Series - A Baroque Sandwich with a 21st Century Bun

Join LSO bassist Jonathan Reed, as he showcases the bass, along with the more rare viola de gamba, and instrument popular during the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Learn the history behind the violin and viol families and how only one survived the need for bigger concert halls. Join the Library afterwards, and make your own valentine.
