2020 Kings Cup Hockey Tournament

Kings Cup is returning to the Summit Sports and Ice Complex. This year's hockey tournament is expecting 40 teams with fans and family from our region including Canada. This is a U10-U15 tournament.

Cabin Fever / Up North Music with Troll for TroutJSO’s Music on Tap series brings a great evening of “Up-North Music” to help ease your case of Cabin- Fever with Michigan’s own, Troll for Trout (T4T). T4T is about a lifestyle. It’s that excited feeling of leaving work early on a beautiful Friday afternoon and pointing your vehicle North. It’s about camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cooking outside, good conversation around a campfire, reflecting, reading, and relaxing.

Jazz: Spirituals, Prayer and Protest Concert

A commemorative concert celebrating the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr., features Jazz Orchestras and special guests. Two performances, 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

This event is part of the week-long 40th Anniversary celebration January 18–24 coordinated by MSU’s Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives. This year’s celebratory theme, “Still I Rise,” a poem by Maya Angelou, highlights the accomplishments of and equal rights given to women in America.

The commemorative concert celebration will feature MSU Jazz Orchestras, conducted by Michael Dease.

Call 517-353-5340 or pick-up from the College of Music main office, Music Building, Room 102 (333 W. Circle Drive) M-F, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (closed 12–1 p.m. 12/16–1/3). Closed full days 12/24–25 and 12/31–1/1. Remaining tickets made available at the door. Please note: Unclaimed will call tickets will be released 10 minutes prior to the event.
