Lansing Harmony Celebration
It's already been a year, wow! Where has the time gone?? The Lansing Harmony Celebration will be back for 2019!!! We are happy to announce this fantastic FREE family event happening in South Lansing on Saturday September 14th from Noon to 8pm!
The Lansing Harmony Celebration will bring positiveness to South Lansing through Arts, the celebration of our diverse Cultures, their Music and cultural food expressions. Lansing is a very diverse and culture rich community and we will showcase that to the residents and will attract visitors from across Michigan.
There will be an extensive Kid Zone with kids inflatables, story telling, face painting, and many kids activities. Many community partners will be on hand to make this a one of a kind KIDS ZONE! There will be cultural art exhibits, live music, art vendors, cultural food vendors, and much more, SO DON'T MISS IT!
This a project of Rejuvenating South Lansing and Lansing Neighborhood Council, in coordination with Capital Area District Library and the City of Lansing. The list will continue to grow as we get closer to the event.
Country Boots & Bands Music Festival
Country Boots & Bands Music Festival is coming to Jackson, MI on Saturday, September 14 at Keeley Park (aka Jackson County Fairgrounds). 10+ Bands on 2 Stages for all ages. Tickets only $45 before June 1st.

REO Town Art Attack
On Sunday, September 15th the REO Town Art Attack returns with a smattering of youth competitions, workshops, art vendors, and more! This year's festival will feature a slightly different format than previous years with an emphasis on family-friendly events. On the agenda:
Graffiti demonstrations and workshops with All of the Above Hip Hop Academy
Youth Cosplay competition with prizes from Capital City Comic Con!
Poetry competition in collaboration with The Poetry Room!
Hands on art activities with Reach Studio Art Center!
Juggling performance and instruction!
Cosplay demonstrations by How-To Halloween!
Dance performances by Happendance!
Competitions are open to all youth ages 5-20. Adult participation is encouraged! A more detailed schedule will be added as the event approaches. This year's event will not feature a beer tent, but drinks are available at Reo Town Pub, Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale, and The Rusty Mug!
The event takes place at 1100 bock of S Washington Ave. Vendors will span from the REO Town Pub to the REO Town Marketplace on the sidewalk and grass areas.
The Poetry Competition begins at 2pm; the Cosplay/costume competition begins at 3:30pm, dance performances from Happendance will occur from 4:45-5:15pm, Battle of the Bands will occur from 5:30-6:30pm. All competitions will occur on the stage within the REO Town Marketplace.
