LANSING, Mich. — Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties (CMHA-CEI) is pleased to announce that the 2019 Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Deborah Leblanc, CNO of McLaren Greater Lansing at the 2020 Annual Community Breakfast Event on Monday, March 23, 2020. The Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to community members who collaborate with CMHA-CEI to achieve our vision. We hold the vision of a community in which any person with a mental health need has access to a wide range of resources to allow him or her to seek his or her desired quality of life and to participate, with dignity, in the life of the community, with its freedoms and responsibilities.
McLaren Greater Lansing (MGL) was chosen to receive the award this year because of their strong collaboration with our Crisis Services Department and the McLaren Emergency Room. This is a partnership sponsored by McLaren Greater Lansing with the goal of increasing the partnership between MGL and CMHA-CEI around the assessment and treatment of adults and children experiencing a mental health crisis and in need of assessment and crisis intervention. The aim is to ensure that consumers are identified and offered effective treatment and access information as well as to increase mental health awareness among front line staff in both agencies.
"McLaren is proud to be able to work hand-in-hand with Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties to provide efficient access to mental health care," said Deborah Leblanc, McLaren Greater Lansing Chief Nursing Officer. "Since 2017 our relationship has linked countless people to services that help them live happier, healthier lives through finding care."
