Walmart, located at 1680 Packard Hwy. in Charlotte is celebrating its grand opening on August 12 at 9 a.m.
The store has been remodeled into a Walmart Supercenter. Additions include a fresh produce section, a remodeled pharmacy, a new customer service and Walmart pickup area.
The pharmacy will operate full-service with immunizations, products and services. Customers can use the Walmart mobile app to make refills on prescriptions.
Customers can also shop online and many items can be shipped for free to the Walmart pickup area.
The grand opening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting, family activities, and free food samples. The celebration will continue on Saturday, August 14 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, August 15 from noon - 5 p.m.
