MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Enjoy the full moon while taking a guided walk through the moonlit woods of the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road in Meridian Township on Friday, October 11th at 7 pm. Dogs are welcome and the group meets in the parking lot. The fee is $3/person, due at the time of the walk. For more information, contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866.
“During the Halloween season is a great time to get outside and have fun with others,” said Nature Center Coordinator Kati Adams. “While I don’t find the woods spooky, sometimes it is a little scary for those not used to it and walking with a guide can help people to become more comfortable in the woods.”
It is not necessary to have a dog to attend the walk, however, participants are reminded that dogs must be on non-retractable leashes and flashlights are permitted.
