Lansing Community College selects firm for presidential search

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Community College has selected the firm that will guide LCC’s presidential search. Following a special board meeting Tuesday, Oct. 29, the LCC Board of Trustees voted unanimously to select Greenwood-Asher & Associates to lead the search for LCC’s seventh president.

“The experience Greenwood-Asher brings in community college presidential searches, including the search for current president Brent Knight, will be invaluable to the college moving forward,” said Board of Trustees chairperson Lawrence Hidalgo, Jr. “Their proven ability to identify and recruit exemplary candidates while creating a customized plan to meet our present and future needs was a critical factor.”

Greenwood-Asher & Associates is a female-owned executive search, consulting and training firm with a diverse recruiting and consulting team. The firm has extensive expertise in executive search, consulting and training in education and nonprofit organizations. Jan Greenwood and Betty Asher, founders and partners of G/A&A have conducted executive searches since 1992 and have deep roots in higher education with both having served as tenured professors and presidents of universities.

The search process for LCC’s next president will be an open process that will include community input forums.
