LANSING, Mich. — LCC will participate in Transgender Awareness Week Nov. 12-19 to help raise the visibility of transgender and gender-nonconforming people, and address the issues this community faces.

The one-week celebration leads up to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) on Nov. 20 which memorializes victims of transphobic violence.

A number of activities will take place on the Downtown Campus including a film and discussion series, faculty workshops, a Trans Q & A panel, and a month long display on the second floor of the Library. The display showcases the transgender community with a great selection of books and streaming video.
