LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Ignite FC attackers Tumi Moshobane and Rafa Mentzingen have been named to the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 25 of the 2019 season after helping LIFC to a 4-3 victory against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
Moshobane continued his recent stellar form with a pair of goals, including the game-winner, while Mentzingen had one goal, one assist, made nine recoveries and completed 20 of 27 passes to help Lansing secure a spot in the 2019 USL League One Playoffs.
Rafa Mentzingen, Pato Botello-Faz, Grant Stoneman and Moshobane are the only LIFC players to have earned Player of the Week honors in 2019, while ten Lansing players have received Team of the Week honors this regular season: Kevin Coiffic, Ivo Cerda, Stefan Cleveland, Elma Nfor, Nick Moon, Xavier Gomez, Mentzingen, Botello-Faz, Moshobane and Stoneman.
LIFC continues its quest for a League One playoff spot with one more League One home match in September, a contest against South Georgia Tormenta FC on Saturday, Sept. 21 (TICKETS [mpv.tickets.com]).
