LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Community College will hold a Black Business Expo and Entrepreneur Pitch competition 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, October 18 at its West Campus. The event is a continuation of the college’s participation in the yearlong national commemoration of the 400 Years of African American History Commission Act.
LCC joined the nationwide commemoration of four centuries of African American History in the U.S. and the Expo is the sixth event the college has held as part of its observance.
Business owners and community agencies are invited to participate in this FREE event designed to showcase their services, products and information. Although this is a celebration of Black owned business all community members are welcome to participate.
The Expo provides an incredible opportunity for vendors to sell their merchandise and generate on-the-spot revenue through direct sales to attendees, build a follow-up database for ongoing business, advertise their company, or recruit new employees.
There will also be a pitch competition for entrepreneurs to sell their ideas or services to a panel of judges with a chance to win cash prizes.
Local food trucks will be onsite for the day and tours of LCC’s West Campus facilities will be conducted.
