MASON, Mich. — Join the Mason Area Historical Society on Veteran's Day, Monday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. for their meeting and program. The meeting will be held at the Mason Area Historical Museum, 200 E. Oak Street in downtown Mason.

As part of the meeting’s program, Scott Shattuck, a local military historian, will discuss “Civil War Companies K and F and How the American Legion Took Over.” He will highlight Mason area soldiers who contributed to the Union cause during the Civil War.

Veteran's Day is a fitting time to be honoring all those who served, and it is also a good time to learn more about our local military history. The public is welcome and there is no charge for admission.
