JACKSON, Mich. — Following state recommendations to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and out of concern for the well-being of our musicians, staff, and audience members, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra has decided to cancel their Summer Pops concert, scheduled for August 28, 2020. Although the concert was scheduled to be at an outdoor venue, they felt that they could not safely have their musicians gather to rehearse before the concert in their inside venue.
They state that they appreciate everyone’s understanding as they navigate this situation.
