LANSING, Mich. — Sparrow Health System President and CEO James F. Dover has been elected to a two-year term as a member of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association Board of Trustees.

The board directs the Lansing-based association’s statewide representation of hospitals and healthcare providers.

Dover was elected a trustee at-large during the association’s annual membership meeting this

morning.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to serve on the Board of Trustees of the MHA,” Dover said. “As the health system for Michigan’s Capital area, we obviously have a close working relationship with the lead organization representing healthcare across the state.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with the MHA, especially on matters of interest to our

legislative bodies.”

Dover recently celebrated his first anniversary at Sparrow after decades of leadership experience at health systems and hospitals across the country. He has helped oversee Sparrow’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and has emphasized Sparrow’s status as Lansing’s only community-owned and community-governed health system.
